Jesus describes the spread of God's Kingdom by using the image of a farmer sowing seeds. 
It's this story that is the inspiration for how we do church differently at The Vine. 
You can read Jesus' parable of the sower in Matthew 13.

Coffee shops, breweries, downtown squares, and music venues...These are all potential places for the Gospel of Jesus to take root! But a lot of churches avoid these places. We take the opposite approach. We spend intentional time in our community connecting with people who may never show up to our building.

Grow
faith ​in new people

Once the Gospel message takes root in someone's heart, it must be nurtured and cared for so that it can begin to grow. Like any good farmer, we know that we can't make a person's faith grow; but we can do everything in our power to nurture and care for a person so that the conditions are as optimal as possible.

When our faith grows, we should show the "good fruit" of our faith by loving God and loving our neighbor. What good is faith if it doesn't make a real difference in our lives? We show our faith by worshiping and serving together, and by leveraging creative partnerships to make the biggest impact in our community.
